Unleash your free self in
South Africa

If an African Safari is on your bucket list, I’ve got you covered with this incredible retreat experience where we’ll set our intention on living free and untamed.

We’ll spend the first 3 nights surrounded by mountains and sea in the lush green landscape of Amani House in Hout Bay, Cape Town. This place is an oasis for transformation, healing, and connection allowing for the perfect balance of serenity and exploration. There will be time to step out of our oasis each day and explore a taste of what Cape Town has to offer. There will be options for hiking, beach time, shopping at local markets, cafes, etc.

After 3 nights, we’ll travel 4 hours inland to our luxury safari lodge in the private wildlife reserve, Sanbona. Each day we’ll take in the incredible wildlife on game drives in search of the big 5 (lions, elephants, cheetahs, rhinos, and African Buffalo) with plenty of time to rest by the pool, get a massage, star gaze, soak in the peaceful nature that surrounds our lodge.

daily schedule

There is a lot of room in the schedule to take the time you need for yourself. Everything is optional but the typical flow of a day is the following:

  • yoga + meditation in the morning

  • group breakfast

  • free time – hiking, beach time, exploring Cape Town, reading poolside, nature walks at game reserve

  • late afternoon or evening yoga

  • group dinner

  • evening hangs

The schedule will look different during the safari portion of the retreat.

meals

All of your meals during the retreat times will be included in the cost. Because I like to leave space in the afternoons for you to decide how you want to spend your time, lunches during our time in Cape Town will be open to you. I will give you money at the start of the retreat so you can enjoy some of the local restaurants for lunch. I will also provide some great suggestions! All meals during the our time at Sanbona will be served there.

travel to cape town

The retreat will begin at 11 am on March 1st and ends on March 8th. You will search for flights to Cape Town International Airport. When looking for flights, make note that we’ll be leaving the safari location at 11 am on the 8th and it’s about a 4-hour drive back to Cape Town from there so look for flights that leave at 5 pm or later. If that is not possible, you can pay your own transfer from the safari lodge to get to the airport on time. If you plan to arrive early or stay later I’m happy to offer suggestions of places to stay or things to do if you need support!
